In this global era of evolving civilization, it is increasingly difficult to ignore the fascinating fact about love. Love is a feeling of intimacy, warmth, and attachment. Love is inevitable and it plays a vital role in human life as Janie uses her experience with the pear tree to compare each of her relationships, but it is not until Tea Cake that she finds ââ¬Å"a bee to her bloom.â⬠(106). The Pear tree symbolizes her initiation into womanhood whilst sitting under the tree. This was the feeling of initial inclination towards love and the sentiments of sexual yearning and affection. Thus, when considering the sexualized symbolism of the pear tree blooms, Janie reveals she comprehended the idea of what a marriage should be through witnessing the pollination of a bee into the blossoming pear tree. Subsequently, Janie searched for this joyful union in her relationships, which was why she altered from marriage to marriage, as the pear tree depicts why her first two marriages were not successful. Janie as a protagonist is the only character who believes, wants, and dreams of love and a better life. She, therefore, does this with the pear tree while her ex-husbands were stuck in the burden of overcoming slavery. Evidently, Janie tried to achieve her desires for love by making affection similar to the marriage like the bee and the blosso ming pear tree. Janie was a sixteen-year-old aspirant.
